The Heads of Region and Deputy Regional of Nias Islands attended the final surfing competition at Sorake Beach, Luahagundre Maniamolo Sub-district, South Nias Regency after attending the 14th anniversary ceremony of South Nias District (Nisel) Year 2017, Saturday (28 / 07).
Nias Selatan Regent Dr.Hilarius Duha, SH., MH., statetd that the surfing game will be held every year in South Nias even the best surfers can be included in the national and international surfing contest. His side would like to thank all those who have supported Nias Selatan Open Surfing Contest (NSOSC) as well as the 14th anniversary of Nisel District in 2017.
“Saya mengharapkan agar masyarakat selalu menjaga situasi keamanan dan ketertiban serta memelihara dan melestarikan kebersihan lingkungan pantai sorake ini dan sekitarnya, karena itu semua merupakan daya tarik bagi para tamu dari domestik dan luar negeri untuk berkunjung ke Nisel,” harap Hilarius Duha. Bupati Nisel mengucapkan selamat bagi yang meraih kejuaraan dan bagi yang belum meraih juara kiranya bersabar karena ini bukan sebuah kekalahan tetapi kemenangan yang masih tertunda.
“I hope that the public will always maintain the security, order situation, maintain and preserve the cleanliness of this sorake beach environment and surroundings, because it can attract guests from domestic and abroad to visit Nisel,” Hilarius Duha said. The Nias Selatan Regent congratulates those who win the championship and those who have not won yet, shall be patient, because lose means a pending victory.
This surfing competition was ended with award prizes for winners and certificates for participants. Participants of the men’s competition competitions First men: Alex Buulolo from Nisel, 2nd place: Nicolas Undurraga from Chile, 3rd Winner: Rehel Fernandus Wau from Nisel and 4th Winner: Justin Buulolo from Nisel. Competition contest among women (Wumen devition) First Winner: Patricia Cabirini from Brazil, 2nd Winner: Lindall Edmonds from USA, 3rd Winner Yasniar Gea from Nisel, 4th Winner: Beatrize Mella from Chile and Champion V: Salini Rengganis from Bali.
Meanwhile, the boys deviate in the top 10 are: Yoza Zagoto, Wedianto Wau, Alinea Maduwu, Sosuizisokhi Zagoto (from Nias Selatan), Ulises Vinicious Periera (from Brazil), Dion Zagoto, Benefasius B.Wau, Rahul Billy, Kadmiel Wau (From Nias Selatan) and Neximeldi Fernandes (from Bengkulu). Furthermore, woman who reached the top 5 positions are: Lusinda Wau Paskalia, Sari Wau Color, Margaret Lorena Maruhawa, Suknianis Laia, and Melan Dwi Putri Gea (from Nias Selatan).
On that occasion, the committee announced the photo contest win by Andanda Putra Duha (1st winner), Kristof Duha (2nd Winner) and Hosea Luahambowo. Each prize of the photo competition was submitted by Vice Regent Sozanolo Ndruru, Danlanal Nias Sea Colonel (P) Heri Prihartanto and AKBP Police Chief Robert Kennedy Aritonang, S.Pd.
